Paddy’s studio in Jocelyn Street
Local wedding photographer Paddy Clarke has been nominated for three top awards at the Irish Professional Photographers’ Association’s (IPPA) Photographic Awards.
Paddy, whose studio is based in Jocelyn Street is a finalist in all of the wedding categories – Classical, Contemporary and Reportage.
The awards will be presented at the annual awards night in The Lyrath Hotel in Kilkenny on Sunday March 23rd.
The Fairways Hotel will host their annual wedding fayre this Sunday from 2pm.
The event gives you a chance to come along and plan your big day and see all that the Fairways has to offer.
There will be a free wedding giveaway competition on the day, while the hotel are also running a special offer at present where if you book 100 guests you get an additional 50 guests for free.

There were celebrations at the Four Seasons Hotel in Carlingford last night after it scooped the award of Best Wedding Venue in Leinster.
The peninsula-based hotel was honoured at the annual WeddingsOnline awards ceremony in Clontarf Castle.
On hand to collect the prestigious prize, which was voted for by the public, were staff members including general manager Caroline McCoy Mullen, manager John Mathews, Caroline McCumiskey and Majella Toner.
The family-run Four Seasons opened in April 2005 and has proven a popular venue for brides and grooms from both near and far due to its award-winning service and stunning setting.
Meanwhile, Drogheda-based Edel Tuite Bridal Design won the Bridal Wear Supplier of the Year award.
Ballymascanlon House Hotel
The local wedding fayre season will continue this Sunday when the Ballymascanlon House Hotel hosts its annual event from 2pm to 6pm.
The event will give you the opportunity to see all that the hotel has to offer, as well as meet a range of experienced wedding specialists.

The event will run from 2pm to 5pm in Lacey’s Suite, the Bernish Suite and the Pinewood Suite with an array of wedding exhibitors in attendance on the day, as well as the hotel’s wedding team.

Michael Magill Entertainments will host a live band bridal showcase in the Four Seasons Hotel in Carlingford on Sunday January 12th.
Seven bands will perform on the day between 2pm and 6pm, giving you the chance to check out some of the top acts in the country.
All are welcome to attend and admission on the day is free.
