People the length and breadth of the country have done little else today other than discuss Brian O’Driscoll’s exclusive from the British and Irish Lions squad for Saturday’s crucial final Test against Australia.

With that in mind, we thought this piece of advertising from local DIY store Hoey’s was worth sharing.

Louth boss Aidan O’Rourke clearly doesn’t think much of Lions coach Warren Gatland’s decision to leave Brian O’Driscoll out of the British and Irish Lions squad for Saturday’s crucial final Test with Australia.

At least Louth’s players will know their place is safe if the manager refers to their good character in future.

Rob Kearney will represent the British and Irish Lions for a second time after being included in coach Warren Gatland’s 37-man squad for the trip to Australia this summer.

The Leinster and Ireland full back, who hails from Willville in Carlingford, is one of nine Irish players set to make the trip along with Cian Healy, Paul O’Connell, Sean O’Brien, Conor Murray, Jonathan Sexton, Brian O’Driscoll and Tommy Bowe.

Kearney previously represented the lines in 2009 in South Africa, starting twice, and scoring a try in the second test in Pretoria.
