Dundalk man an internet sensation after Uilleann Pipes performance on Dublin Bus

A Dundalk man has become an internet sensation in recent days after a video of him performing an impromptu Uilleann Pipes session on Dublin Bus went viral.

The session broke out on the Nitelink to Celbridge on Friday night but it has now been revealed that the man behind the music is Fiachra MhicReachtain Meek from Dundalk, a former Dundalk IT and De La Salle student.

You can check out Fiachra in action above and below.

Keenan shines on The Sunday Sessions

Local singer/songwriter David Keenan has been enjoying some increased publicity since his video of singing in the local Maxi Taxi went viral earlier this year.

Last week he performed for Joe.ie and Her.ie on The Sunday Sessions in the Workman’s Club in Dublin, following in the footsteps of the likes of George Ezra, Gavin James, Vancy Joy and The Riptide Movement.

While there he performed his hit track El Paso, which brought him to public prominence, and also did a superb Blues Medley.

Check them out above and below and, if you like what you hear, be sure to check out David performing live in Brubakers this Friday night.
