Dundalk’s Patrick Hoban is set to appear on the cover of FIFA 14.

The Galway native was voted for the huge honour by Airtricity League fans in recent weeks on extratime.ie

He will be joined on the cover by Limerick’s Shane Treacy. Ironically, the two players will go head to head tomorrow night when Dundalk host Limerick at Oriel Park.

Hoban and Treacy seen off competition from the likes of Rafael Cretaro, Jason Byrne and Killian Brennan in order to appear on the cover alongside Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.

The cover featuring the duo will be available to download from easportsfootball.com tomorrow when the game goes on sale.

FIFA 14 will be released at midnight with the Dundalk Gamestop and Xtra-vision branches opening late for those who want to get their hands on it.
