Dundalk woman Evelyn Toner appeared on ITV’s this morning programme yesterday in a segment featuring unemployed mother of two Christina Briggs.

The Wigan woman hit the headlines last year after claiming that taxpayers should give her more benefits to eat healthily.

After appearing on This Morning last September, the show vowed to help and teamed Christina up with Evelyn to create a healthy eating plan.

Just three weeks on and Christina had lost 1st 5lbs with the help of dietician Evelyn.

Evelyn, from Bellurgan, runs a nutrition consultancy service called Prime Health Nutrition in London.

Ireland manager Martin O’Neill be at Oriel Park this Thursday night to take in Dundalk’s Europa League clash with Hadjuk Split.

The game is the first item on his agenda after working in Brazil as a pundit for ITV during the World Cup.

News of O’Neill’s pending trip to Dundalk was revealed in this morning’s Irish Independent, who suggest he will use the match as an opportunity to cast his eye over some of Dundalk’s young guns.

One of O’Neill’s predecessors, Mick McCarthy, was also in Oriel last week to take in Dundalk’s victory over AS Jeunesse Esch.

Jordan O’Keefe to perform in Dundalk

Britain’s Got Talent finalist Jordan O’Keefe will be performing in Dundalk next month.

The Derry teenager – who shot to fame on the ITV show with his version of One Direction’s Little Things – will be in Intensity Dundalk in Ridley’s Nite Club on August 21st.

Tickets will go on sale in the coming weeks.
