New speech and language school Inspire to open in Dundalk on Tuesday

A new speech and language school for children and adults with autism is set to open next Tuesday.

Inspire will be located in the former Graphic Lights/Keystone Insurances premises at 59 Park Street.

Run by Henry Fitzsimons they are currently accepting sign-ups for those interested in classes via email at sdeinspire@eircom.net

The classes are being subsidised by Service Dogs Europe but in the long term will rely on fundraising to keep going.

Claire Walshe has been hired as Inspire’s trained speech and language therapist and people are welcome to call in to make queries or email sdeinspire@eircom.net for further info.

ORDERONLINE

Local graphic design and print studio Graphic Lights have just launched their new online print store at www.graphiclights.ie

The company, founded earlier this year by Colin Toner, recently closed its Park Street store to concentrate on the internet.

As the only online print store based in Dundalk, customers can now order a large selection of digital print from the comforts of their own home or office and have it delivered free of charge to anywhere in Ireland.

It places customer care alongside competitive pricing, while its unique selling point is its four-day turnaround of work from time of approval.

Customers can log on and upload their own designs for print or, if needed, for a small fee extra Graphic Lights will design your material.

To celebrate the opening of the new shop Graphic Lights are giving away a 10% discount to all Talk of the Town readers. Just type TOTT10 in the coupon area of the shopping cart at www.graphiclights.ie to avail of this fantastic offer.

Graphic Lights Creative Solutions have announced plans to close their store in Park Street from today as part of a new online strategy.

The company, which was set up earlier this year by Colin Toner, will continue trading online via its website www.graphiclights.ie with plans afoot to “grow bigger and better” in the weeks and months ahead.

Posting via their Facebook page, Mr Toner said: “Hi ya folks, just want to let you all know we are planning on closing our shop today, we will still be very much operational online and plans are already in place to increase our online presence however the shop was unable to cover its overheads and we had to take the most logical approach to it. We would like to thank all our customers to date who have helped establish the business in such a short period and we very much look forward to dealing with our customers both old and new in the future.”

While the business will remain active, it is another blow to the town’s retail trade with another shop on Park Street closing hot on the heels of similar closures at Baldwin’s Jewellers, who relocated to Mint in Earl Street and Cali Burrito.

Questions remain about what the council can do to encourage business in the town but for now be sure to check out Graphic Lights’ range of services on www.graphiclights.ie
