Local dog earns thousands of YouTube hits for version of Ave Maria

A local dog has earned thousands of YouTube hits after being recorded singing along to Ave Maria while looking at the Hangover 3 movie.

Gerry and Caroline Dillon from Dundalk were watching Alan’s unique rendition of the hymn when their golden pooch Holly’s ear pricked up.

Instead of giving a short bark when it heard the song, the labrador decided to mimic the sound.

The crafty canine found the source of the sound before walking to the TV and beginning a long howl of its own.

Gerry told The Irish Daily Mirror they had never heard Holly howl like it before.
