Rugby star Rob Kearney showed his funny side when he took part in a prank video to promote the launch of the new Audi Q7 recently.

The Leinster and Ireland star, who is preparing for next month’s World Cup at present, took two car salesmen for a test drive but little did they know they were being filmed by hidden camera as the Willville man was egged on by his team-mates Peter O’Mahony and Robbie Henshaw and RTÉ’s Aidan Power.

The hilarious clip features Kearney’s supposed fear of roundabouts, his claims he could beat Brian O’Driscoll in a fight, a couple of Conor McGregor impressions and some questionable animal noises.

Ten out of ten to the good folk in Jimmy’s Bar in Park Street for their window sign in the build-up to Dundalk’s Champions League clash tonight.

Vincie and his team are avid Dundalk supporters and they are sure to provide plenty of fans with a pre-match pint before the gathering outside Dunnes Stores at 5pm this evening.

A wee problem with the ATMs in town

A big shout out to Bronagh Murphy for spotting this rather funny mistake on an out of order poster at a local ATM.

The sign at the Bank of Ireland machine read ‘Sorry for the incontinence’ rather than what you’d expect to see, which is the word ‘inconvenience’.

For those unaware, incontinence relates to when you involuntarily pee yourself. As Bronagh said herself: “Apparently ATM’s in Dundalk are pissing themselves today!”

The session broke out on the Nitelink to Celbridge on Friday night but it has now been revealed that the man behind the music is Fiachra MhicReachtain Meek from Dundalk, a former Dundalk IT and De La Salle student.

You can check out Fiachra in action above and below.

Dundalk lads go pun mad to mark opening of crisp sandwich shop

Dundalk’s first ever crisp sandwich shop, Crispie Bites, opened this morning and to mark the occasion a couple of locals celebrated the news with a lengthy WhatsApp conversation that was laden with great crisp puns.

The lads involved in the conversation sent a copy of their conversation to Joe.ie but asked to remain anonymous. They are all between the ages of 27 and 30 and some of them are currently exiled in the USA and Canada though.

Check it out below…

A Lidl off with your parking there mate

-2

Last week we carried a picture of a car pretty much abandoned outside the Lidl store on the Avenue Road.

That prompted a lot of reaction, with readers of Talk of the Town insisting this is a regular occurrence. Indeed, one person even provided proof, catching one motorist parked in what should be a through road between parking spaces.

Is it really that hard to follow?
