The Delorentos and Goldie Lookin Chain have been announced as two of the headline acts for this year’s Vantastival Festival at Bellurgan Park.
Part one of the line-up was announced this morning with local acts such as Jinx Lennon and the Flaws also on the billing for the event, which runs from May 1st to 3rd.
The line-up for this year’s Vantastival event at Bellurgan Park has been revealed.
The Hothouse Flowers, Tucan and John Spillane will all headline this year’s event, which takes place on the May Bank Holiday weekend from May 2nd to 4th.
Also lined up over the course of the weekend are The Hot Sprockets, Dublin City Ramblers, Birds of Chicago, Jinx Lennon, the Bonnevilles, and many more.

The Vantastival Launch Party will take place from 8pm tonight in The Spirit Store.
This free event will feature performances from the likes of Words That Burn, David Keenan, Those Creeps, Evil Presidentes and much more so is not to be missed.

The organisers of the Vantastival festival have extended the deadline for accepting applications from all original acts and trade groups for the 2014 event.
Applications were due to be in by last Sunday but have been extended until this Sunday, January 12th with full details available here.
All you need is to provide short information on your act and at least three tracks to be considered.

Third Smoke’s Joe O’Connor, Chris Rocks, Hugh Donlon and Niall Clarke
Up and coming Dundalk band Third Smoke are through to the final stages of Hot Press magazine’s Big Break Competition, which will feature the winning band on the front cover.
The local act were named in the top five along with Kodakid, Katie Laffan, Miracle Bell and The Scenes following tens of thousands of votes from Hot Press readers.
Third Smoke are made up of Hugh Donlon (rhythm guitar/lead vocals), Joe O’Connor (lead guitar/backing vocals), Chris Rocks (drums/backing vocals) and Niall Clarke (bass/backing vocals).
The quartet – who formed in August 2009 – have already sold out venues such as the Academy in Dublin and The Spirit Store in Dundalk and recently played at the Vantastival festival in Bellurgan Park.
The final five will now submit two additional tracks for consideration by the team of judges, with the winners being announced in the next issue of Hot Press.

The Vantastival music festival proved a huge success at Bellurgan Park, just outside Dundalk, at the weekend with thousands travelling for the event.
Amongst the acts to perform over the course of the three days included Damien Dempsey, Altan and Jerry Fish.

LOCAL band The Trampz have released their new video for their latest hit ‘Crazy’
The seven-piece funk and soul outfit – who feature Kevin Johnson, Dickey Mac, Peter Baldwin, Tyson Dillinger, Paul Campbell, Lance Dangerfield and Ellington Dennedy – will be performing the new single live at Vantastival this coming Friday night in Bellurgan Park at 12.30am on the DoneDeal stage.
