Urbano 21 celebrating a year in business

Local coffee, sandwich shop and deli Urbano 21 will be celebrating its first anniversary in business this Thursday and Friday with tastings, freebies and giveaways.

Urbano 21 opened at 21a Park Street last September serving gourmet sandwiches, artisan breads, locally sourced produce and fine coffee and handmade cakes.

Suppliers will be on hand to provide samples and tastings over the two days. Amongst the businesses who will be in store include KooKee, Daisy’s Pantry, Viv’s Krackin’ Sauces, Rosco, Nutti and Knead Artisan Bakery.

Urbano 21 is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm and on Saturday from 9.30am to 3pm.

Businesses offering special deals for launch of Dundalk Festival of Light & Culture

To mark the Dundalk Festival of Light & Culture this weekend a number of local businesses have put together special offers to mark the occasion.

All of the businesses will be open late on Friday evening for the official launch of the festival at the Market Square and here are some of the offers you can avail of.

  • Sheba Boutique in Clanbrassil Street are offering 20% off everything in store on Thursday, Friday and Saturday
  • Urbano 21 in Park Street are offering 10% off when you show the voucher below
  • Kids under 12 will eat for free in Johnny Mason’s when you present the voucher below
  • Barry’s Café at the Square are offering a kids treat of a hot chocolate and a chocolate muffin for just €2.
  • Jackie’s Café at the Square are offering free face painting for customers on Friday.

Inside the new Insomnia coffee shop at Heaton’s

A new coffee shop opened in Heaton’s department store in Dundalk today.

The new facility at the shop in Dundalk Retail Park will be serving Insomnia coffee.

This is the latest coffee facility to open in the town, following hot on the hells of Starbucks, which recently opened in the Marshes Shopping Centre and Urbano 21 in Park Street.

It will serve gourmet sandwiches, artisan breads, locally sourced produce and fine coffee and handmade cakes.
