Dundalk set to benefit from new €14 million Urban Fund

Dundalk2

Dundalk is among seven towns and cities nationwide which are being invited to benefit from a new €14 million Urban Fund.

The fund is being managed by the Northern and Western Regional Assembly and will be used to progress urban regeneration and transport projects.

The seven towns – Dundalk, Sligo, Letterkenny, Galway, Tullamore, Athlone and Mullingar – can submit proposals for projects in their town.

The local authority can then contribute their own money towards the projects to help get them off the ground.

The matter will be discussed by councillors in the coming weeks.
