On Thursday last, 14 members from Unislim Dundalk’s branch celebrated with group leader Mary McArdle in reaching their individual target weight loss and achieving ‘Free For Life’ status.
Group leader Mary, who has managed the Dundalk class for 43 years, was on hand to present the latest tranche of individuals who lost a combined 40 stone with their gold feather pins which allows members to continue to attend weekly Unislim meetings ‘Free for Life’.
According to Dundalk members ‘it’s more than a slimming club’. The atmosphere in the Dundalk class is electric with lots of fun and laughter. Each week, Mary shares her vast knowledge of Unislim’s ‘Forever Free’ weight loss programme together with inspiring talks which has helped us to achieve our end goal’.
Unislim is Ireland’s longest running slimming and health organisation with hundreds of weekly meetings organised by a team of class leaders. Still a family-run business, with founder Agnes McCourt’s daughter Fiona Gratzer at the helm, the Unislim programme is based on a healthy, nutritious eating plan combined with increased exercise. Members are encouraged to make healthy lifestyle changes and are motivated and encouraged by our leaders to achieve real results.
