80448_54_news_hub_28660_588x448A campaign has been launched to turn Dundalk purple as part of Today FM’s Shave, Dye or Oh My fundraiser in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.

Organiser Orla Crilly, from Pearse Park, is asking all hairdressers and barbers in the town to participate in the event on Thursday March 12th.

Each business is being asked to dye the hair of at least 10 people purple on the day.

Amongst the hairdressers signed up so far are Monet on Dublin Street, The Grafton Barber in the Marshes, Signature Hair in Clanbrassil Street, The Works at the Market Square, Charlie’s Barbers and Chaplin’s in the Clanbrassil Centre and Felda.

Already signed up to get dyed are Spirit Store staff Alan Anderson and Brian Loughran and John Doyle of The Fane Bar.

Anyone who wishes to get involved can contact Orla at 087 2797901. Donations can also be made online here.
