Many of you who have passed through the Market Square in the past 24 hours will have noticed a new photographic exhibition on display there.

The Here I Am exhibition in aid of Down Syndrome was launched yesterday and will remain at the Square until next Thursday.

It features 20 photographs of children with Down Syndrome taken by Kerry photographer Dan Murphy. The exhibition seeks to reveal the individuality of each of the children rather than the syndrome they carry.

Organised by local councillors Maeve Yore and Mark Dearey, the exhibition was opened yesterday by Dundalk Municipal District chair Cllr Maria Doyle, Moninna McCarthy and Ronan Quigley, chairperson of Comhairle na nÓg.

For those who missed it, the good folks over at The Digital Bakery have put together a short YouTube clip of the event.

New video highlights all Dundalk Stadium has to offer

Cheltenham is in full flow at the moment and, as a result, horse racing has rarely been in as much focus.

It can be easy to forget we have a world class racing facility on our doorstep in Dundalk Stadium but not anymore.

The good folks at local digital marketing company The Digital Bakery have put together a corporate video package for Dundalk Stadium.

As well as showcasing the wonderful racing and facilities at the Racecourse Road venue, it also highlights the many sponsorship and corporate packages available and the benefits that other companies have seen from using the Stadium.

It’s definitely worth a look, if for no other reason to see a few well known local faces including Paddy Mac of The Long Riders and Dundalk FM.
