A fundraising white collar boxing event will be held in Oriel Active next month in aid of Dealgan Boxing Club and The Birches.
The Contender will take place from 8pm on Saturday February 21st with 16 action packed bouts planned.

Pearse Óg Hurling Club will host The Contender white collar boxing fundraiser tonight in The Fairways Hotel.
The event is being run in aid of the club’s underage hurling setup, with proceeds from the sale of the programme also going towards the Children’s Respite Centre in Lordship.
The event gets underway at 8pm, with admission €20.
Local hurling club Pearse Óg are seeking volunteers to get involved in their forthcoming white collar boxing fundraiser, The Contender.
The event will take place on Saturday April 19th in the Fairways Hotel with male and female competitors being sought.
As well as helping you to get fit, this is also a fun and enjoyable way of helping out the club.
There are 20 men and women already signed up, with the club looking for 10 more.
Training lasts just six weeks and no boxing experience is required.
