That’s according to new data compiled by The Irish Times, which show just 45% of vehicles pass the test in Dundalk, compared to 55% who fail it.

That is just under the national average pass rate of 48%.

The figures reveal you might have better luck in Drogheda, where the pass and fail rate is 50%.

Figures relate to 2013, with Toyotas most likely to pass the test and Renaults most likely to fail.

Best wishes for the exams

The Leaving Cert and Junior Cert exams get underway today and here at Talk of the Town we’d just like to extend best wishes to all who are doing them.

Co Louth VEC – whose schools include Bush Post Primary and O Fiaich College – have over 1,000 students undertaking them but no matter where you’re doing them good luck.

Also a special mention for the teachers, who’ve put in so much time in preparing the students for the next few weeks. Here’s hoping for some great grades in the area this year.
