Blackrock Raft Race and Family Fun Day this Sunday

The annual Blackrock Raft Race takes place this Sunday.

Getting underway from 2pm, there will be a Dundalk Brass Band recital and sandcastle competition, a helicopter display by the Irish Coast Guard, a junior poc fada, cricket on the beach and much, much more, including the raft race itself at 3pm.

Raft Race and family fun day in Blackrock tomorrow

 

Tomorrow will see Blackrock host its annual raft race and family fun day.

Proceedings get underway in the village from 11.30am when the hugely popular raft race will kick-start an exciting day of events.

Other highlights include a family treasure hunt, a kids’ fancy dress, a coastguard helicopter display, a sandcastle competition, a schools’ talent competition and much more.

There will also be face painting, amusements and plenty of other fun things to do so be sure to pop by Blackrock so you don’t miss out.
