New video highlights all Dundalk Stadium has to offer

Cheltenham is in full flow at the moment and, as a result, horse racing has rarely been in as much focus.

It can be easy to forget we have a world class racing facility on our doorstep in Dundalk Stadium but not anymore.

The good folks at local digital marketing company The Digital Bakery have put together a corporate video package for Dundalk Stadium.

As well as showcasing the wonderful racing and facilities at the Racecourse Road venue, it also highlights the many sponsorship and corporate packages available and the benefits that other companies have seen from using the Stadium.

It’s definitely worth a look, if for no other reason to see a few well known local faces including Paddy Mac of The Long Riders and Dundalk FM.

Check it out above.

The Bar One Racing ‘Dual Race Day’ will take place at Dundalk Stadium’s all-weather horse and greyhound track on Sunday 18th August 2013.

This highly anticipated annual event has traditionally been set on the 15th August but in recent years has been moved to Sundays to create a family atmosphere.

Horse racing will commence at 2.10pm with a 7 race card. Greyhound racing will take place in the evening at 7:30pm with the annual Bar One Racing Irish Sprint Cup Final.

The Bar One Dual Race Day promises to be a great day for young and old alike. With a whole host of kids activities throughout the day, it will ensure that the youngsters are just as entertained as the adults.

Mini museum at Dundalk Stadium

A glimpse of some of what will be on show at Dundalk Stadium this evening

A glimpse of some of what will be on show at Dundalk Stadium this evening

Unlucky punters at Dundalk Stadium would have often accused the horses or greyhounds they backed there of running like old relics but for anyone attending the race track tonight, they will be seeing the real thing.

The stadium has been kitted out with old memorabilia from the local museum for this evening’s races, giving punters a chance to get a glimpse of what the Louth County Museum has to offer.

Doors for the mini museum (and the racing) open at 5pm.
