Charities and individuals received just €12,823 from the poor box in Dundalk courthouse last year.
That is despite the fact that there was over €2m paid nationally, according to figures from the Courts Service.
There were just 24 individual donations to the Dundalk court’s poor box.
This compared with a whopping €883,527 paid into the poor box in Tralee.
The biggest beneficiary nationally last year was St Vincent de Paul, which received €129,350 from the court poor box.
