Less than half of vehicles which undergo the NCT in Dundalk pass the test.
That’s according to new data compiled by The Irish Times, which show just 45% of vehicles pass the test in Dundalk, compared to 55% who fail it.
That is just under the national average pass rate of 48%.
The figures reveal you might have better luck in Drogheda, where the pass and fail rate is 50%.
Figures relate to 2013, with Toyotas most likely to pass the test and Renaults most likely to fail.
The local NCT Centre on the Coes Road has been placed up for sale by tender with Property Partners Laurence Gunne and Savills.
The high spec industrial building has a contracted rent of €39,983 per annum and extends to approximately 380 sqm (4,090 sq ft) on a site of 0.276ha.
The NCT are in the middle of a 30 year lease, which commenced on November 11th 1999.
