Help is being sought to locate two missing terrier dogs in Dundalk.

The dogs escaped from a car in the Boyd’s car park across form the bus station on the Long Walk between 6.45pm and 8pm on Tuesday night.

The dogs are from Ravensdale so may try to make their way back there.

Both are described as all white except for brown ears. One is wire-haired while the other is smoother but still a little on the wiry side, mostly noticeable around the muzzle. They are not microchipped.

The body of a man believed to be that of missing local man Kenneth (Ken) Fagan was discovered in Dundalk this evening.

The body was discovered in the Lennon Melia area of the town by a search team that was working with the gardaí and civil defence in searching for the missing 23-year-old, who was last seen on Wednesday last, August 6th.

A search had been organised from the Clan na Gael GFC grounds at 4pm today – just yards from Mr Fagan’s home.

A post mortem is due to be carried out on Wednesday morning at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda when his identity and cause of death will be determined.

A search party has been organised to help looking for Kenneth (Ken) Fagan later today.

The search will commence from the Clan na Gael GFC clubrooms at 4pm and all are invited to attend.

The 23-year-old was last seen in Dundalk at about 1.30pm last Wednesday.

He is about 1.7m (5’8”) tall, of medium build and has short dark hair.

When last seen he was wearing a blue zip-up hooded top with white strings, dark denim jeans and navy runners.

The 23-year-old was last seen in Dundalk at about 1.30pm last Wednesday.

Missing Dundalk man found safe and sound

There is good news to report this afternoon after missing Dundalk man Wayne Moran was found safe and sound.

The Ashling Park man was reported missing earlier today after having not been seen or contactable since yesterday.

However, shortly after lunchtime he was found in the Drogheda area, putting fears of his safety at rest.

The public have been asked to help locate 35-year-old Dundalk man Paul Nesbitt, who has been missing since last week.

Gardaí say Mr Nesbitt is 5ft 8in in height, of medium build with facial hair and a tattoo on his neck.

He was last seen wearing a dark hoodie and a pair of jeans.

65-year-old woman found safe and well in Dundalk

A 65-year-old woman who was reported missing in Dundalk this morning has been found safe and well.

Mary Áine Concagh was last seen at her home in Lis na Dara around 11.20pm last night. Family and friends became concerned for her welfare and contacted gardaí but thankfully she has been found safe and well in the last hour.

An appeal has been launched for the public’s help in locating a local girl who has been missing since yesterday afternoon.

Orla McVerry from Wallace’s Road in Blackrock, was last seen around 3pm at the Coffee Room on the Inner Relief Road in Dundalk walking in the direction of the Aura Leisure Centre.

Orla is 27 but is described as looking younger and was last wearing a brown jacket, black leggings, brown boots and was carrying a brown bag. She is also reported to have special needs.
