A Dundalk IT student is in the running to be browned the new Miss Irish Sun 2013.
Kate McGlennon, from Co Clare, is currently studying midwifery in the area.
She is one of six finalists for the coveted title, which will be decided by text votes. Voting is currently ongoing and closes on Wednesday week, June 19th.
The 19-year-old revealed she fell in love with modeling after entering the Miss Clare competition and would love to pursue her dream by becoming Miss Irish Sun and going on to represent Ireland at the Miss Universe contest.
Kate said: ““I have been bitten by the bug and would dearly love to go one step further and pursue my dream.
“I am not with any modelling agency and this is my first year trying these competitions. I believe I would make a good Miss Irish Sun because I have a very outgoing bubbly personality, a great sense of fun and I am extremely hard working at everything I do.”
