Following the closure of Bogger’s in Ardee last week, owner Mark ‘Bogger’ Conlon has announced his next venture.

Mark will be the new manager of Butterly’s in Irish Street, Ardee, with the bar reopening on Monday at 5pm. Butterly’s, for those not in the know, is located next door to Mario’s chip shop.

Best of luck to Bogger in the new venture.

Bogger’s Lounge in Ardee is set to close this coming Sunday.

While not Dundalk news directly, the popular venue at the Turfman’s Lounge had become popular with gig goers from both near and far due to the calibre of live musicians and comedians it had lined up in recent years.

The pub, which was run by Mark Conlon, announced its impending closure on its Facebook page today but Mark – aka Bogger – hinted that he could be set to reopen in another venue quite soon.

He said: “As ye know folks we were 3 years open last week and with regret we wont be renewing our lease for another year!! This Sunday coming will be our last day open!! Thank you for much for all your custom over the years, some great nights where had!!

“Upcoming shows with Mick Flannery and Neil Delamere will be going ahead at new venue… details coming soon!!

“Thank you once again from Bogger!!!”
