Marshes Shopping Centre confirmed as new sponsor of Dundalk International

There will be a new sponsor for the Dundalk International this year with the Marshes Shopping Centre confirmed as not just supporting the greyhound feature but also as title sponsor of the popular 12th July Dual Race Day and Ladies Day 2015.

The Marshes Shopping Centre International will be an Invitation contest over 550 yards with a total prize fund of €37,000 and is the richest one-off greyhound race in Ireland and the UK.

The winner’s prize will be €20,000 with €6,000 for the runner-up, €3,500 for the third and €1,000 each for the other three runners.

The unique Dual Day will commence with a seven race horse card which commences at 2pm and the feature race will be the Marshes Shopping Centre Handicap. The greyhound racing will then commence at 7.30pm.

The Marshes Shopping Centre Ladies Day will take place in the afternoon with one lucky lady walking away with a stylish Marshes experience worth €5,000. Vogue Williams has been confirmed as this year’s judge.

Ladies Day 2015 is set to be the most stylish yet as it marks the finale of ‘Dundalk Style Week’ – a week long, on mall event celebrating all things stylish at Marshes. For more information on the event please visit: www.marshesshopping.com.

TV personality and DJ Vogue Williams will be the judge of this year’s Marshes Shopping Centre Best Dressed Lady event at Dundalk Stadium on Sunday July 12th.

The annual ladies day at the dual race day at Dundalk Stadium is always a popular affair with Vogue – wife of former Westlife singer Brian McFadden – following in the footsteps of last year’s judge Susan Jackson of So Sue Me.

The winner of ladies day will receive €5,000 worth of Marshes shopping vouchers.

This year’s event will be the culmination of a week long Dundalk Style Week, with a number of events lined up in the Marshes.

Locally-based online clothing store, LilyCoo is set to open a pop up shop in Clanbrassil Street this Friday.

This will allow people from both near and far to browse through LilyCoo’s selection of dresses, which are ideal for a Christmas party, a big night out or a wedding.

The pop up shop will be located beside Wendle’s and will also stock a range of jumpers, tops, shirts, cardigans and coats for women.

LilyCoo was launched in October 2013 by Oonagh McNally and Kevin Quinn from the Castle Road.

Earlier this month popular Irish fashion blogger and model Suzanne Jackson of So Sue Me was unveiled as the face of LilyCoo’s Christmas campaign.

Suzanne Jackson of popular Irish fashion blog So Sue Me has been unveiled as the new face of locally-based online clothing store, lilycoo.com

The blogger/model has earned a huge following in recent years with her fashion, beauty and fitness tips with close to one million readers per month.

Now she is set to be the face of LilyCoo, which was launched in October 2013 by local couple Oonagh McNally and Kevin Quinn from the Castle Road.

Suzanne was in Dundalk earlier this year where she was the judge of ladies day at Dundalk Stadium on July 12th.

The trap draw for this coming Saturday’s Matthews.ie Dundalk International greyhound race was made at Dundalk Stadium this morning.

The event is the richest one-off greyhound race in the world, with the draw being made by Noel Matthews of sponsors Matthews Coach Hire, Dundalk Stadium Racing Manager Margaret Kavanagh and Dundalk Stadium CEO Jim Martin.

The traps are as follows:

  • Trap 1 – Metro Jack
  • Trap 2 – Atitboy
  • Trap 3 – Sidarian Blaze
  • Trap 4 – Paradise Madison
  • Trap 5 – Boylesports Hero
  • Trap 6 – Mind The Net

The annual 12th July event is a dual race day, with a full horse racing calendar during the day before the greyhound racing that evening.

The day also incorporates the Marshes Shopping Centre Ladies Day, where the best dressed lady on the day will receive €5,000 worth of shopping vouchers for the centre.
