Kieran’s Avenue Pharmacy on the Avenue Road will hold their official opening weekend this weekend.

Events get underway today with a Voya beauty expert in store from 11am to 4pm to offer you hints and tips.

On Friday there will be a Halloween Fancy Dress event with a prize for the best dressed adult and child. Free face painting will take place between 2pm and 4pm, with a free nail painting for all those who purchase Mavala polish.

On Saturday there will be a Decleor Paris promotion, with a free gift available following purchase and a free skin consultation.

There will also be giveaways, goodie bags, raffles and a series of special offers over the course of the weekend so feel free to drop in.

Kieran’s is a joint operation between Amy Kieran and Justin Nevin and opened last month beside The Gym and Country Fresh on the Avenue Road.

New stores open but others close in a mixed few weeks on the retail front

The Brass Rail boutique closed its doors on Clanbrassil Street last Friday after over 19 years in business

There has been mixed news on the retail front in recent days with stores both opening and closing in the area.

A new Mace store opened its doors in Blackrock yesterday while Kieran’s Avenue Pharmacy is set to open shortly on the Avenue Road beside The Gym and the former Joan’s Stores.

There have been casualties too unfortunately. After over 19 years in business, the Brass Rail boutique in Clanbrassil Street closed its doors last Friday.

This follows hot on the heels of other recent closures such as The Bar on Francis Street and the Buy and Sell shop on Clanbrassil Street.
