Julie wishes JLS all the best

LOCAL singer Julie Cunnane will have been among those most upset to hear the news that British boyband JLS are to break up.

As an ex-member of girl group Desire, the 26-year-old supported the four piece in the early stages of their career and became good friends with the lads in the process.

Desire entered X Factor in 2008, the same year that JLS finished runners-up. They made it to Louis Walsh’s judges home but failed to make the live finals.

Julie – who is originally from Afton Drive – was not a part of the band at that stage but joined afterwards and supported JLS after the show wrapped up, even performing with them locally in the likes of Luna in Ardee.

Commenting on Twitter earlier, Julie said she had “some good times” with JLS and wished them all the best in the future.
