Local journalist Niamh Kirk has been honoured with the Vincent Doyle Perpetual Trophy for Journalism by Independent College Dublin’s Faculty of Journalism Department.
Niamh is well known in local media circles as a reporter with the Dundalk Leader and producer on Dundalk FM.
She was presented with the prestigious award by CEO of the college Garret Doyle having completed an MA in Journalism course there in the last few years, which she graduated from with a first.
The award is given to one journalism student each year for outstanding achievement in the study and practice of journalism.
