Three local men have got together to put together virtual tours of some well known places in Co Louth.

The tours are a combination of 360 degree photography from David Norton, voiceovers from Harry Lee and web technologies from Jason McGee of the Blackrock-based JasCom Consulting Ltd.

According to Jason: “We are developing the services further to give a truly interactive guided tour experience. We have also considered running a ‘virtual day trip’ where we would bring an audience on a virtual tour of some well know places in Louth on a big screen.”

Jascom to host e-commerce bootcamp in Dundalk next week

jascom_logo_wpMany companies are looking for a boost to sales in 2014 and in response Jascom Ltd is running a free “Ecommerce Bootcamp” next week, with support from PayPal Ireland to outline the benefits and cost.

The afternoon workshop is open to anyone looking to sell goods or services online and is completely free. Attendees can expect to find out how to sell online, what buttons they can add to their websites or Facebook pages, what the costs are, what security is in place and how to take payments on smart phones or iPads.

“As a web designer with PayPal on our doorstep in Dundalk, it’s a fantastic opportunity to work together to let customers know how easy, quick and safe it is to take payments online with Paypal.” said Jason McGee of Jascom.

“The Government has outlined their plan in the National Digital Strategy to get 10,000 Irish businesses online for the first time, and to get 2,000 Irish businesses trading online, over a period of two years. So the time is right to register for a bootcamp like this to learn all you need to get selling”

The “Ecommerce Bootcamp”  takes place at 2pm on Tuesday January 14th at Creative Spark in Dundalk and places are limited so you will need register online at www.jascom.ie
