Dundalk IT will host an Hour of Code event in the Information Technology Learning Centre on Saturday morning at 10am.
The initiative, which is being run by the Department of Computing & Mathematics in conjunction with the local CoderDojo group, is aimed at letting pupils try to code to raise the awareness of lacking programming classes in schools. It is part of a global initiative to introduce 100m students to computer science.
