With both Liverpool and Dundalk challenging for titles at present, it was fitting to see this old shot from the 1982/83 season of the two sides taking each other on in the European Cup at Oriel Park.
The shot shows Liverpool’s all-time record goalscorer Ian Rush breaking clear of Dundalk’s Paddy Dunning.
