A local property with 0.3 hectares of development land behind it has gone on the market for €700,000 on the Castle Road.

As well as a seven bed house with three reception rooms, comprising 291sqm of living space, the former builder’s yard has a separate access and is zoned ‘Residential 1’ meaning a house, or houses, can be built there subject to the relevant planning permission. The land previously had a commercial use too so could be converted back into such subject to planning permission.

The land backs on to Lidl on the Inner Relief Road and adjoins the Cash and Carry.

Iona at 34 Castle Road was built around 1890, with an extension added in the 1960s.

The sale is being conducted by local estate agents Property Partners Laurence Gunne, with further details available on their website.
