Dundalk have been drawn away to non-league Phoenix FC in the next round of the FAI Cup.
Stephen Kenny’s side will travel to face the Leinster Senior League outfit on the weekend of Sunday June 2nd.
This will be the first ever meeting between the sides, with Phoenix having only been founded in 2006.
Based on the Navan Road in Dublin 7, have faced the likes of UCD and St Patrick’s Athletic in the cup in recent seasons.
They are managed by former Shamrock Rovers and Drogheda Utd star Harry Kenny, who scored a penalty for Rovers against the Lilywhites in the 1987 FAI Cup final at Dalymount Park – match which the Hoops won 3-0.
