Local car dealers Auto Assure have put together a short video commercial, giving a brief summary of what they do.

In February this year Auto Assure Ltd were named SIMI’s Independent Sales Operation of the Year 2015 at an awards ceremony in Dublin.

The company, based on Gray’s Lane off Park Street in the former Rogers’ garage dealership, was founded by Adrian Sherman and Eoin McGuinness in 2009 and since then has earned a fine reputation for selling used cars and sourcing vehicles for people throughout the North East.

Last October they also set up a service centre.

Local estate agents on the move to new premises

The former Planet video store on Park Street

Local estate agents DNG Duffy look set to relocate their offices to the former Planet video store at 66-67 Park Street.

Currently based at 18 Park Street, facing Jimmy’s Bar, owner Keith Duffy has just applied for planning permission to carry out alterations to the shop front of the recently bought building which he is believed to have purchased.

He has also sought planning permission for two projecting signs and the “relocation of office/financial and professional services use from 18 Park Street to 66-67 Park Street.”

The purchase of the former Planet video store, which has been lying idle for some years, included two units on Gray’s Lane, neither of which are part of the planning application to Louth County Council.

Park Street store snapped up along with adjoining units

66-67 Park Street

One of Park Street’s most prominent stores could have big plans ahead of it after being snapped up by an unknown buyer recently.

66-67 Park Street, the former Planet video store, as well as the units behind it at 14 and 15 Gray’s Lane are all close to changing hands having been marked as sale agreed by joint agents Gartlan O’Rourke and DNG Duffy.

The 3,800sq ft former video store has been lying idle for some time while there could be the potential to expand it into the two units at Gray’s Lane – subject to planning permission – with each having over 862 sq ft of floor space.

In what is believed to be an unrelated development, Sherry FitzGerald have also reached sale agreed status for 75 Park Street, the unit currently leased to Mise, who still have a number of years left on their lease and will be unaffected by the impending sale.
