Carlingford Players to stage Philadelphia Here I Come this weekend

The Carlingford Players will present the Brian Friel play ‘Philadelphia Here I Come’ in the Foy Centre this weekend.

The performances will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8pm sharp.

Admission on the night is €10 for adults and €5 for children with tickets available from any committee member or from Dan’s Stonewall Café.

Féile na Tána musical festival next month

The inaugural Féile na Tána musical festival will take place in Carlingford from Friday February 6th to Sunday February 8th.

The event, which aims at bringing the best of Irish traditional music to the Cooley Peninsula, is the brainchild of husband and wife musical duo John McIntyre and Zoe Conway who will launch the festival with a session in the Foy Centre on Friday.

As well as a series of workshops throughout the weekend there will be concerts on Saturday and Sunday. In the Foy Centre on Saturday there will be a concert with Seamus Begley and Donogh Hennessey, while the recital concert will feature a wide range of artists at 2pm on Sunday.
