Motorists throughout Louth are being warned to be extra careful this morning due to the level of fog in the area.
AA Roadwatch have warned that visibility is poor on the M1 motorway between J18 Ballymascanlon and J12 Dunleer.
A large number of back roads are also being affected by the foggy conditions and motorists are advised to use their fog lights in affected areas but are reminded to turn them off afterwards.
