It might be Arthur’s Day but there could also be a food bonanza in Dundalk later today with the Europa on Earl Street offering half price food from 6pm to 11pm tonight.
Deliveries are also available, with the charge just €2.
Orna Doohan reports that there was a major fight on Earl Street last night.
Apparently the incident occurred around 2am or 3am and involved around eight people.
Is fighting late at night a problem in the town?
For those who’ve missed it, today is National Fish and Chips Day.
Now, if ever there was an excuse of a holiday then this is it but we’re not complaining though as there’s half price fish and chips on offer in a wide range of local takeaways.
Amongst the restaurants taking part this year include the Roma, the Europa, Kingfisher, Mullens and Tony’s.
So why not treat yourself to a fresh cod and chip this lunchtime or this evening? Unfortunately the models pictured are unlikely to be found in any of the above venues though.
