The Marshes
The Marshes Shopping Centre have picked up an important environmental award.
The centre were recently awarded the Environment Management BS 8555 Accreditation, which is in line with IOS14001 and EMAS: “Environmental management systems – Guide to the phased implementation of an environmental management system including the use of environmental performance evaluation.”
Centre Manager, Harry Traynor, was delighted to receive the reward and said in a recent interview: “I am very proud that the hard work of our operational team at the Marshes has been recognised. Marshes continues to work hard to reduce our carbon footprint.
“Our team are dedicated and committed to ensuring we lead the way in environmental management and I am just delighted that this hard work has not gone unnoticed.”
Harry also thanked the team on the STEM project, whose role he said was pivotal in the Marshes receiving this accreditation.
