The launch of Digital Dundalk in The Spirit Store earlier this week has been hailed a “great success” by organisers.

On the night 70 professionals, students, teachers, entrepreneurs, designers, developers, hopers and dreamers all came together. The aim was to get these people to share their experiences and say who they would like to work with in the digital sphere locally.

Combined with some showcase projects, the open mic session allowed anyone to make a two minute pitch about who they are, what they are doing and who they want to talk to about a project, role or assistance.

Each speaker was supported by having their website displayed on a large screen alongside a scrolling live Twitter feed.

A survey has been sent out to all attendees and the results are being fed into a steering group for the next event and the future of the Digital Dundalk movement. Visit www.digitaldundalk.com for more information.
