Video of Here I Am launch in Dundalk released

Many of you who have passed through the Market Square in the past 24 hours will have noticed a new photographic exhibition on display there.

The Here I Am exhibition in aid of Down Syndrome was launched yesterday and will remain at the Square until next Thursday.

It features 20 photographs of children with Down Syndrome taken by Kerry photographer Dan Murphy. The exhibition seeks to reveal the individuality of each of the children rather than the syndrome they carry.

Organised by local councillors Maeve Yore and Mark Dearey, the exhibition was opened yesterday by Dundalk Municipal District chair Cllr Maria Doyle, Moninna McCarthy and Ronan Quigley, chairperson of Comhairle na nÓg.

Just a quick reminder that a photographic exhibition in aid of Down Syndrome will be launched at the Market Square at 11am today.

The Here I Am exhibition will run until June 25th and will be in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland.

This will be the first art installation at the newly renovated Market Square and was organised by Cllrs Maeve Yore and Mark Dearey, who are both parents of children with Down Syndrome.

The exhibition will be opened by Dundalk Municipal District chair Cllr Maria Doyle, Moninna McCarthy and Ronan Quigley, chairperson of Comhairle na nÓg.
