Starbucks opened its doors in the Marshes Shopping Centre at 8am this morning.

The multi-national chain is located in the former Heaven boutique, opposite the entrance to Penneys with a number of new jobs being created by its arrival in town.

This is the first official Starbucks outlet in Dundalk, although its products are sold in other local stores.

Another store opening its doors today is the Christmas Claus-Et in Clanbrassil Street.

The festive store, which was also open last year, is bigger and better than ever and will be located in the former Cumiskey’s music store, opposite Costcutter.

You can read more about the Christmas Claus-Et here.

Refund details have been unveiled for those who purchased tickets to Garth Brooks.

Those who paid via card over the phone, online or via mobile will receive an automatic refund from Tuesday July 15th – although it may take 7-10 working days to reach your account.

Those who paid in cash at News & Deli in Dundalk can receive a refund by returning a form to any existing Ticketmaster ticket centre or by posting the form off. News & Deli is no longer an affiliated Ticketmaster retailer but locals can call into the new Ticketmaster outlet at Costcutter on Clanbrassil Street to start the refund process.

This option can take longer and may take 21 days to process.

Full details are available here.

New Dundalk Ticketmaster outlet for Clanbrassil Street

A new Ticketmaster venue is going to be setup on Clanbrassil Street in Dundalk.

The town has been left without a Ticketmaster outlet since News & Deli in Park Street closed its doors at the start of the year.

Owner Sonja van Kelkeren did cater for fans of Garth Brooks by reopening to sell tickets for his Croke Park shows earlier this year but a more permanent solution was needed to cater for those who still like to queue for tickets to the big concerts.

That solution has now been found with Costcutter in Clanbrassil Street set to take over the running of the Ticketmaster outlet.

Now, all we need is another huge performer to announce a date!
