Cooley Kickhams to host Get Active classes from Monday

Cooley Kickhams will launch a series of Get Active classes from next Monday.

The available classes include yoga, abs and toning, run/walk at Bush track, kickboxing fitness, dance aerobics, introduction to Pilates, exercise and condition, mountain/trail walk and circuits.

The eight week classes start on Monday and cost €75, which includes free entry into the Cooley Coast Run, a saving of €15.

Registration night takes place this Friday and Saturday from 7-8pm in the Cooley complex and all are invited to attend.

Kilkerley athlete Gary O’Hanlon was celebrating another race win on Friday night after coming home first in the 12.5km Cooley Coast Run.

This latest success for the Clonliffe Harriers AC runner comes just weeks after wins in the Limerick and Kildare Marathons, as well as the Patsy Kelly 5k in Dundalk.

Gary won the race in a time of 00:40:37 – almost two minutes ahead of Brian McCloskey of North East Runners, who was also runner-up in the previous week’s Dundalk 10k Run.

Meanwhile, the 10k race was won by Stephen Muholland in a time of 00:34:44, just 26 seconds ahead of runner-up Niall Gorham.
