A local family were left horrified on Sunday when they visited their parents grave only to discover that a number of items were stolen from it.
The incident happened in Kilcurry cemetery, with decorative stones and personal ornaments taken.
The distressed family – who asked not to be named – have asked Talk of the Town to make people aware of the theft to avoid it happening to others.
Anyone who spots any suspicious activity in graveyards is asked to contact Gardaí.
Gardaí in Ardee are appealing for information after a Toyota Landcruiser was stolen from St Mary’s cemetery on Saturday while its owner was digging a grave.
The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon between 2.20pm and 2.25pm
The Toyota Landcruiser has not been recovered as yet and is described as being blue in colour, with a registration of 00 C 25980.
