Winning Euromillions Plus ticket is cashed in after being sold in Ardee

Someone in the area is €500,000 richer after collecting a cheque from National Lottery headquarters yesterday after winning Tuesday night’s Euromillions Plus draw.

The woman from Co Louth has not been named but it is believed she is from the Mid-Louth area as her €6 Quick Pick ticket was bought in O’Gorman’s Centra on Castle Street in Ardee on the day of the draw.

There was another winner of the Euromillions Plus draw on Tuesday. It was sold in Maynooth, Co Kildare although the winner has yet to come forward.

Witnesses sought following assault on three people in Ardee

Gardaí in Ardee are appealing for information on an assault in the early hours of this morning.

Three people – a woman and two men all in their 20s – were hurt after being assaulted by a man in the Castle Street area of the town.

All three were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for treatment but their injuries are non life threatening.
