Ardee Laughs returns tomorrow night

Alan Gernon’s Ardee Laughs returns to Butterly’s Comedy Shed tomorrow night with special guest Joe Rooney.

Rooney, from Drogheda, is well known for roles in the likes of Killinaskully and Father Ted, where he played rogue priest Fr Damo.

Alan, from Louth Village, will be MC on the night.

Doors open at 9pm, with the show at 9.30pm. Admission is €10 with tickets available at www.ticketstop.ie

Sharon Shannon coming to Ardee

imgsizeSharon Shannon will be performing at Butterly’s Bar in Ardee next month.

The Clare woman will be celebrating 21 years since the release of her debut album with a trip through her back catalogue.

She will be joined in Ardee on Thursday March 13th by multi-instrumentalist and singer Alan Connor.

Former Liverpool star Jason McAteer in Ardee this Sunday

Former Liverpool and Ireland star Jason McAteer will be appearing in Butterly’s Bar, Ardee, this Sunday.

The 42-year-old, who made 139 appearances for the Anfield outfit between 1995 and 1999, will be providing pre-match and post-match analysis of Liverpool’s clash with West Brom – a game which will be shown live in the bar from 1.30pm.

Anyone attending on the day will be entered into a raffle, while there will also be a chance to get an autograph or a picture with the 52-times capped Republic of Ireland star, who appeared at the 1994 and 2002 World Cups.

Bogger to take over the running of Butterly’s on Monday

Following the closure of Bogger’s in Ardee last week, owner Mark ‘Bogger’ Conlon has announced his next venture.

Mark will be the new manager of Butterly’s in Irish Street, Ardee, with the bar reopening on Monday at 5pm. Butterly’s, for those not in the know, is located next door to Mario’s chip shop.

Best of luck to Bogger in the new venture.

Bogger’s Lounge became well known in the North East for its range of live bands and comedy acts.
