An Táin Theatre is the place to be on Friday and Saturday June 19th and 20th when the Dance Kids unveil their latest show ‘Summer Lovin’.

Never ones to sit still, the Dance Kids have been rehearsing for ‘Summer Lovin’ since January, and have promised that this year’s show will be a perfect night out for all the family, with performances to suit all ages.

The talented dancers, aged from just four years of age, are promising to stage a ‘show-stopping performance’ of the hit classic, ‘The Jungle Book’, as well as many favourites from ‘Pinocchio’ and ‘Bugsy Malone’.

The night of entertainment will also include hit songs from ‘Bruno Mars’, ‘The Vamps’ and ‘Pitch Perfect’. If that wasn’t enough An Táin Theatre will then be transformed into Rydell High where Danny, Sandy, the pink ladies and the T-Birds will perform to all the favourites from the musical ‘Grease’.

“We are so excited about this years show ‘Summer Lovin’,” said Freda Hearty.
“Everyone has worked so hard, these kids are so talented and they really know how to put on a show-stopping, first class performance. After the huge success of our sold out Christmas show ‘Sparkle and Shine, ‘Summer Lovin’ is going to be the show of the year and is not to be missed. Book your tickets early to avoid disappointment.”

‘Summer Lovin’ takes place in An Táin Theatre, Dundalk, on the 19th and 20th of June and is not to be missed. Book your tickets today at An Táin Theatre’s box office on 042 9392919.

Alan makes a proposal with a difference to girlfriend Amanda

Dundalk man Alan Foran made a proposal with a difference on Saturday after popping the question to his girlfriend Amanda Lavery at the Scotch Hall Shopping Centre in Drogheda.

Alan, well known as the lead singer with local band Electric Avenue, arranged for a flash mob to perform in the shopping centre. After watching dancers perform to Ed Sheeran’s track ‘Thinking Out Loud’, the flash mob then appeared with Alan asking for Amanda’s hand in marriage during Bruno Mars’ song ‘Marry You’.

To Amanda’s surprise, her family then appeared to share the special moment with them as her favourite track, Celine Dion’s ‘Oh Holy Night’ played.

Alan bought the ring three weeks ago and wanted to do something special for his engagement so he called in his band mates from Electric Avenue, the Drogheda brass and youth band, along with the wonderful dancers from Btown dance studios to help make it a memorable proposal.

Well done to Alan on a unique proposal and may the couple have a lifetime of happiness together.
