Louth forward Ciaran Byrne has been included in the 23 man Irish panel for Saturday’s first test match against Australia at Kingspan Breffni Park.
The Louth Village man, who was named in the International Rules squad for the two matches against the Aussies earlier this month, is set for a career Down Under in the New Year when he joins up with Carlton. His soon-to-be new team-mate, Zach Tuohy of Laois, has also been selected by manager Paul Earley.
Dundalk IT student Paddy O’Rourke, from Meath, is also included in the panel for Saturday’s game.
