They say there is no such thing as a free lunch but there is such thing as a free breakfast it seems.
The good folk at Subway in the Marshes Shopping Centre are offering a free six inch breakfast roll to everyone from 9.30am to 11am this morning.
Sausage, egg, bacon and cheese all on the six inch sub of your choice? There are surely worse ways to start the day.
The Imperial Hotel in Park Street reopened its carvery earlier this week with tasty food now on sale seven days a week.
Breakfast is served every morning from 8am with the carvery open for lunches from midday each day.
A full kids menu is also available while there is a large selections of desserts available.
The Imperial has a long reputation of serving fine food but had stopped the service in recent years.
The new Leaf Restaurant opened earlier today at the Tesco Extra shopping centre.
The restaurant, which is located beside Hickey’s Pharmacy and opposite the post office, will be open from 9am to 6pm seven days a week serving breakfast, brunch and lunch.
With a full carvery and salad menu, there is plenty to choose from with a number of opening offers in place to mark the opening.
The annual general meeting of Dundalk Chamber of Commerce will take place on Tuesday from 8am to 9.30am in the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
New members are welcome on the day while breakfast will be served.
Ghan House
Ghan House in Carlingford will be hosting a cookery demonstration with their two AA Rosette chefs on Sunday April 6th at 4pm.
The demonstration will be followed by a buffet dinners with wines to match each course.
Chefs Stephane and Allan will demonstrate how to cook a variety of starters, main courses and desserts which will then be served as a three course buffet dinner with a choice of wines matched to each course.
Stephane and Allan will also be joining you for the informal dinner to talk through any questions you may have and offer advice.
Admission is €55 per person including cookery demo, dinner and wines or €45 per person for cookery demo and dinner without wines.
Packages are also available to include accommodation and breakfast.
