Would you like to see David Gray play in this area next month? Well, that dream could come true if you get behind a campaign to bring the singer/songwriter to Co Louth.
The Cheshire-based singer, whose hits include This Year’s Love, Babylon, Please Forgive Me, Sail Away and The One I Love, has decided to take a break from the studio to embark on an Irish tour in December.
He has decided to play “smaller sized venues” and has asked fans to influence where he plays by registering on his site and voting for their county of choice.
Tickets for the gigs cost €34 each and you can register into a lottery for them. If he decides to play in this area and you get a ticket, you will have 48 hours to buy them before they are re-allocated.
While no venues in each county have been decided upon, it is likely that Gray would play either The Spirit Store in Dundalk or the TLT in Drogheda if he came here.
Speaking on his site, Gray said: “It’s been far too long since I’ve been to Ireland and at this point in my musical evolution it feels absolutely appropriate that I go back to what has always been the heartland for me.”
