An ambulance was stolen from the grounds of the Louth County Hospital in the early hours of this morning.
The vehicle was taken from the ambulance base at the Dublin Road hospital shortly after 2am.
The ambulance was later recovered in Glenwood, a house estate across the road from the hospital. Meanwhile, an iPhone that was also stolen was recovered by Gardaí in the Muirhevnamor Community Park on Hoey’s Lane using the ‘Find my iPhone’ application.
