Local woman Lisa Casey has unfortunately missed out on her ‘Dream Job’

The 24-year-old from Ard Easmuinn has been competing in the Budweister ‘Dream Job’ competition, with a €50,000 prize up for grabs as she looks to pursue her dream career of becoming a full-time comedian.

Lisa had been plugging for votes since making the final five but it has emerged that Clare-based aspiring film maker and actor Mark Griffin is the winner after being announced as the victor by Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul yesterday.

Mark, who is originally from Ardnacrusha in Clare but who grew up in and around Limerick city, said the €50,000 winners prize would be used to purse his dream of a full-time career in theatre and film.

Local woman Lisa Casey is currently competing to land her dream job as a comedian.

The 24-year-old from Ard Easmuinn has recently been named as one of five finalists in this year’s Budweiser Dream Job competition.

Lisa, who was runner-up in last year’s Miss Louth contest before competing in Miss Ireland as Miss Armagh, recently started to perform her comedy routine at gigs in Dundalk and Dublin.

If she wins the Budweiser Dream Job competition she will secure €50,000 towards pursuing her dream career as a comedian.

Winners will be chosen via a public vote with the deadline set for Monday March 23rd.

Up against Lisa for the coveted prize is Brazilian fashion designer Alex D’Paula; concert pianist Sean Rooney from Dublin; Stillorgan-based music composer Scott Tobin and Co Clare director and playwright Mark Griffin.

The person who receives the most votes will be revealed by Budweiser Dream Job ambassador, Hollywood star and Emmy Award-winning actor, Aaron Paul on Thursday March 26th.

Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul visits Bellingham Castle

American actor Aaron Paul was a visitor to Bellingham Castle last night.

Paul, best known for his role as Jessie Pinkman in Breaking Bad, took a shine to Irish wolfhound Ferdia on his visit to the castle.

The Need for Speed star has been in Ireland for the past few days but is said to have left Bellingham for Dublin Airport this morning.

Aaron also visited Bellingham’s sister hotel Cabra Castle during his stay here with Brenda Sheenan giving a full account of his visit here.
